Gearoid is a Master System and Game Gear emulator for Android handsets, thanks to which you can play some of the best known titles to appear on these two classic SEGA consoles, all from the comfort of your cell phone or tablet.

The application, which is pretty simple, takes up only a few kilobytes, and offers lots of configuration options. You can change the controls, adjust the graphics and audio, and speed up the emulation.

The best thing about Gearoid however, is the range of compatible games on offer; you get the chance to play a massive number of titles, ranging from Sonic to Phantasy Star and Wonderboy.
